Wine red, deep and even. The dress is sleeveless and cut A-line, with vertical princess seams running the length of it from bodice to hem, and that seaming is the whole of its construction. The neckline is high and straight across the collarbone. The surface has a soft suede-like nap that takes light quietly. Nothing is applied to it: no trim, no button, no embellishment of any kind.
